Terms & Contest Rules

Please read these terms before creating, entering, or voting in a contest on SendTheLove ("the Platform"). By using the Platform in any way, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

• You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and legally permitted to use blockchain applications, hold crypto tokens, and participate in prize contests.
• You are responsible for complying with the laws of your own location. Participation is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
• You are solely responsible for the security of your own wallet, keys, and devices.

2. Your Content — and Your Responsibility

• You are solely responsible for any content you submit — including images, memes, banners, titles, captions, and text.
• By submitting content you represent and warrant that it is your own or that you have all necessary rights to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• You represent that your content is lawful and complies with all applicable laws.
• You retain ownership of your content, but you grant the Platform a non-exclusive license to host, display, and reproduce it as needed to operate the contests and the Platform.

3. Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that is or contains:

• Sexual content, nudity, or pornography; and never any content sexualizing or depicting minors.
• Content that is illegal under any applicable law.
• Hate speech, slurs, harassment, or threats.
• Graphic violence or gore.
• Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other rights.
• Malware, scams, or deceptive material.

4. Moderation & Removal

• The Platform may remove any content, disqualify any entry, or cancel any contest at any time, for any reason, at its sole discretion.
• Automated screening and community reporting may be used, but the Platform does not guarantee that all prohibited content will be detected or removed.
• Removal of content does not entitle you to any refund or compensation.

5. Contest Rules

• Creating: A contest creator funds the prize pool (and, where applicable, a platform fee) up front. Once funded, the contest is live.
• Prize pools are custodial — please read. When a contest is funded, the prize pool and any entry fees are transferred to and held by the Platform's operator in a Platform-controlled wallet until the contest ends, then distributed to winners (or refunded to the creator if there are no entries) through the Platform's automated payout process. By funding or paying into a contest you are entrusting those funds to the Platform's operator for the duration of the contest, and payouts depend on the operator and that automated process functioning. Only commit an amount you are comfortable entrusting to the Platform.
• Entering: One entry per wallet. You must hold the required minimum token balance to enter or vote. Some contests charge an entry fee, which is disclosed before you pay.
• Voting: One vote per wallet, reassignable before the deadline. You cannot vote for your own entry. Holding the required token balance is required to vote. Each contest sets a vote requirement between $1 and $10 USD worth of $LOVE (or the contest's token); the requirement in effect is shown on the contest page.
• Vote verification & anti-farming. All votes are verified for validity before any prizes are paid. To be counted at settlement, the voting wallet must hold at least the contest's stated vote requirement ($1–$10 USD worth) of $LOVE (or the contest's token) at the time the contest closes — not only at the moment the vote was cast. Votes cast by automated wallet networks or "vote farming" (including, without limitation, transferring the same tokens between wallets to multiply votes) are invalid and will be removed at the Platform's sole discretion, based on on-chain evidence. Winners are determined from verified votes only.
• Winners: Winners are determined by verified vote count; exact ties are broken in favor of the earlier entry. Payout splits are set by the contest's chosen template.
• Payouts: Prize pools are distributed to winners through the Platform's automated payout process. If a contest receives no entries, the prize pool is returned to the creator.
• Entry fees are non-refundable. Entering a contest does not guarantee winning. Results are final.

6. Connecting Your Wallet & Web3 Risks

• Your wallet is non-custodial. We never have access to your private keys or seed phrase, and connecting your wallet does not give us control of it — connecting only lets the Platform see your public address and balances and request transactions or signatures, which only you can approve in your own wallet. Prize pools, however, ARE custodial once funded — see "Prize pools are custodial" under Contest Rules above.
• You approve every transaction. No tokens ever leave your wallet without a transaction that you personally review and confirm. Always verify the amount, token, recipient address, and network before approving. If a request looks wrong, reject it.
• We will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys. No part of the Platform will ever request them. Never enter your seed phrase or private key into any website, form, message, or pop-up — anyone who asks for them is trying to steal from you.
• Beware phishing and impersonation. Only use the official site at sendthelove.org. We will never message you first, ask you to "validate," "sync," or "unlock" your wallet, or send you elsewhere to connect. Bookmark the real address and check it before connecting.
• Third-party wallets and tools are outside our control. Your wallet software, browser extensions, hardware devices, and their providers are third parties. The Platform is not responsible for their bugs, downtime, compromise, or malicious behavior, or any loss resulting from them. Keep your wallet updated and obtain it only from official sources.
• Web3 carries inherent risk. Wallet drainers, malicious token approvals, fake pop-ups, and compromised extensions exist across the entire crypto ecosystem. You are responsible for your own security, including reviewing and revoking token approvals and safeguarding your keys.
• By connecting a wallet to the Platform, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

7. Crypto Risk — No Financial Advice

• Nothing on the Platform is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
• Crypto tokens are volatile and may lose all value. Prize amounts are denominated in tokens whose value can change or go to zero.
• Blockchain transactions are irreversible. You are responsible for verifying addresses, amounts, and networks before you transact.
• You participate entirely at your own risk.

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that payouts, transactions, or third-party services (wallets, blockchains, RPC providers) will function without failure or delay.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform, its operator, and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of funds, tokens, profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, content submitted by any user, contest outcomes, failed or delayed transactions, or the acts of third parties — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Platform is to stop using it.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Platform and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of the content you submit, your use of the Platform, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

11. Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

By creating, entering, or voting in a contest, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Contest Rules.
